The Usage page in Settings provides comprehensive monitoring of your Norce setup, showing how your system is being utilized from external sources. This dashboard serves as both a monitoring tool and an eye into the data used for billing calculations by Norce, giving you detailed insights into your API consumption and system resources.
The Usage page displays key metrics about your Norce environment:
- System overview: Applications, price lists, products, orders, and order amounts
- API monitoring: Individual API usage statistics and performance metrics
- Billing integration: Real-time data that feeds directly into the billing system
- Time-based analytics: Historical usage patterns and trends
The main dashboard shows clickable summary cards for:
- Applications: Total number of configured applications
- Price Lists: Active pricing configurations
- Products: Total product count in your catalog
- Orders: Order volume statistics
- Order Amount: Total monetary value processed
Each metric card is clickable and provides direct navigation to the corresponding admin UI section:
- Click on Price Lists → Navigate to the Pricing tab
- Click on Products → Go to the Product catalog
- Click on Orders → Access Order management
- Click on Applications → View Application settings
This integration allows you to quickly drill down from usage statistics to detailed management of specific areas.
Each API in your system has its own dedicated usage dashboard showing:
- Recent activity: Latest requests from the last hour
- Historical graphs: Usage patterns over selected time periods (typically last month)
- Performance metrics: Response times and request volumes per day
- Method breakdown: Most commonly used API methods and their frequency
For each API, you can view:
- Average response time: Performance baseline for typical requests
- Maximum response time: Longest response time recorded
- Request count per method: Usage frequency for each API endpoint
- Daily request volumes: Historical patterns and trends
Customize your analysis with flexible time range options:
- Relative periods: Last 7 days, last month, etc.
- Custom date ranges: Specify exact start and end dates for detailed analysis
- Real-time data: Latest hour activity for immediate monitoring
Focus your analysis by:
- Selecting specific API methods to examine
- Filtering views to show only chosen endpoints
- Comparing usage patterns between different methods
- Each API has its own separate usage dashboard
- You cannot view combined usage across all APIs in a single view
- Cross-API analysis requires checking individual dashboards
The usage data displayed is identical to what feeds into the billing system, ensuring:
- Accuracy: Billing calculations match dashboard displays
- Transparency: Complete visibility into billed usage
- Real-time updates: Current usage affects billing calculations immediately
