This page explains how to set up competitor-based pricing in Norce Commerce. Competitor pricing allows you to adjust your product prices based on data imported from third-party sources, helping you stay competitive in your market.
Before configuring competitor pricing, ensure the following setup steps are completed:
- A pricing structure is already set up in your Norce Commerce environment.
Before starting the configuration, prepare the following:
- Competitor Data Integration:
Integrate competitor data into Norce Commerce. This must be done via Commerce Connect. - Competitor Activation:
Request Norce to activate all competitors on all categories initially. This simplifies the initial setup and ensures all competitor data is available for configuration.
Follow these steps to configure competitor pricing:
- Create Competitor Price Lists:
For each market, create a competitor price list. These price lists should inherit from your standard or market-specific price lists. - Set Competitor Price Rules:
Define rules that determine how competitor prices influence your own pricing. - Configure Category Competitor Positioning:
Set the positioning and priority of competitors for each product category. Use the category competitor settings. - Activate Competitor Pricing:
Enable competitor pricing by setting population rules on the price list and marking the price list as Public.
Tip: Activating all competitors on all categories at the start makes it easier to refine your setup later.
For detailed information about competitor pricing, see Competitive Pricing.
You can further refine competitor pricing with additional settings:
- Client Settings:
In client settings, enable Competitive pricing (by application) if all your applications share the same competitors.
After configuring competitor pricing, you may:
- Migrate products to the new pricing structure.
- Continue with further setup and configuration as needed.
