Creating Physical Stores in Norce Commerce

This page explains how to set up physical stores in Norce Commerce. Physical stores are optional and are typically used by clients who operate both online and brick-and-mortar locations. Setting up stores enables features such as store-specific inventory, pricing, and in-store pickup.

Prerequisites

Before you can create physical stores, ensure the following setup steps are completed:

  • Client and Application:
    You must have created a client and at least one application.

  • Warehouses and Locations:
    It is recommended to set up warehouses and locations for your stores in advance.

  • Store-specific Price Lists (if needed):
    If your stores require unique pricing, prepare store-specific price lists.

Preparations

Before setting up physical stores, gather the following information for each store:

  • Store Name: The display name for the store.
  • Store Code: A unique code to identify the store.
  • Latitude and Longitude: The geographical coordinates of the store (optional).

Additionally, determine the following relationships for each store:

  • Applications: Which applications (websites) the store should be linked to.
  • Warehouse/Location: The warehouse or location associated with the store for inventory management.
  • Price List: The price list to use for the store, if applicable.

How-to: Create a Physical Store

Follow these steps to create a physical store in Norce Commerce:

  1. Access the Store Settings:
    Go to Stores in the Admin UI.

  2. Create a New Store:
    Click NEW to add a store.

  3. Fill in Store Details:
    Enter the store's name, code, latitude, longitude, and assign the relevant application, warehouse/location, and price list.

  4. Save and Verify:
    Save the store and verify that it appears in the store list. Check that all relationships (application, warehouse, price list) are correctly set.
