Release notes September 2026
Notable features
Norce Backend MCP servers released as open beta
The Norce Backend MCP servers are now released as open beta. The Norce Backend MCP servers make it possible to work directly with a Norce Commerce client from an AI assistant, such as Claude, VS Code, and other MCP-compatible tools.
Open beta means that the Norce Backend MCP servers are deployed and fully functional, but some issues may still remain. Norce will formally announce the Norce Backend MCP servers as fully released once stability is confirmed.
Read more in Using the Norce Backend MCP servers and in the blog post Norce Commerce backend accessible through your AI assistant.
AI Enrichment in Norce PIM released as open beta
AI Enrichment is now available in open beta to all Norce customers in the Norce PIM.
- What AI Enrichment does: Batch translate existing product texts into more cultures, or generate new product texts, directly from the product list. AI Enrichment runs as a background job, so you can continue working while the job processes.
- Nothing is published automatically: Every suggested value from AI Enrichment lands in a review view, where you accept, edit, or reject the suggestion per field before anything is written to the product.
- Brand voice is configured, not prompted: AI Enrichment uses a system prompt per client, a brand voice per application, and instructions per culture and per field. Consistency does not depend on who runs the job.
- No AI account needed: The AI Enrichment models run on Azure AI Foundry. You do not need an API key or a contract with an AI vendor.
- Scope: AI Enrichment supports text and HTML fields, both built-in product texts and parametrics.
During the open beta, AI Enrichment usage is included in the license with a limited cap.

Other patches and fixes
Commerce Admin
- Orders and Baskets
- Improved loading performance when opening baskets and orders.
- Product structures
- The structure tab now supports drag-and-drop sorting, links that open included products in a new tab, and the add search marks products that cannot be added.
- The structure page now warns when a structure item or managed package item has no price on a price list that the product itself uses, since the item price could otherwise resolve from another price list at runtime. Saving a price that would introduce such a mismatch is no longer allowed. Products that are already inconsistent can still be edited and saved, but the warning stays on the page and a save message flags the items still missing prices.
- Rounding Rules
- Rounding rules now support multiple currencies. Use the multi-select currency dropdown to assign a rounding rule to one or more currencies.
- Test prices now show color-coded indicators: green when the current rounding rule matched, blue when another rounding rule took priority (with a tooltip showing which rule), and gray when no rounding rule matched.
- Range boundaries ending in .99 are automatically extended to .9999 to prevent prices like .997 from falling between ranges.
- Account
- Fixed an issue with the password reset process where the reset token could be validated against the wrong account if accounts in different environments (such as stage and production) had the same username. The issue resulted in a "Bad token" message when attempting to set a new password.
- Baskets
- The basket detail view now shows the basket's alternative delivery address as the ship-to address instead of falling back to the payer's address.
- Category
- The VAT code on a category now follows the sales area selected in the header, instead of the client's primary sales area.
- Channels
- Saving a new channel now redirects you to the saved channel.
- Delivery Methods
- Freight structure products can now be selected as the pricing product on a delivery method. Previously, only freight products were found in the search.
- Events
- Fixed a crash that made the settings page of an event, most notably SkuChangedNotification, intermittently fail to load with a gateway error.
- Price lists
- The Warehouses tab on a price list can now be saved by any role with write access to Pricing. Write access to Pricing settings is no longer required.
- Price list types with an inherited name are no longer shown as empty rows when you select a price list type.
- Fixed an issue where the supplier name showed as "undefined" in the Add Supplier Pricelist dropdown on the Supplier Price List tab.
- Product Batch Update
- The flag picker for the "Set flag" and "Remove flag" batch actions now shows whether each flag is product-level or variant-level.
- Product Parametrics
- Fixed a bug where "Copy parametrics from" another product did not copy the inherited flag of text parametrics, which could make the following save fail.
- Product Pricing
- Inactive and ended price lists are no longer displayed when adding all active price lists to a product.
- Product Relations
- Fixed a bug where relations could not be updated if the product contained old relations on variant level.
- Promotions
- Reactivating a promotion now saves correctly and displays the active status instead of the previous inactive status.
- Clearing the status filter on the promotion list now includes inactive promotions, so inactive promotions can be found without selecting the Inactive status.
- Cancel now returns to the promotion list even when the promotion was opened directly from a link, a bookmark, or after a page reload.
- A discount basket or discount freight amount entered on an effect that was first saved without a value is now kept when the promotion is saved again, instead of being cleared.
- Promotion Requirements
- Customer flag requirements now show available customer flags in the promotion settings dropdown.
- Relation Automation
- Searching in the parametric value dropdown of a relation automation requirement now filters the list instead of showing all values.
- Sales areas
- Fixed an issue where removing a VAT code from a sales area was not saved, which could leave two VAT codes flagged as primary.
- Search fields
- Dropdown search fields that explain which properties are matched now all use the same short "Search using Name or Code" wording, so the text fits in the narrowest input field.
- Stores
- The store detail form now has a City field, so a store address can be entered in full.
Commerce Service
- Basket
- Basket insert and update now honor a fixed recommended quantity. Quantities are adjusted to the closest multiple of the recommended quantity on insert, and updates to a non-multiple quantity leave the basket row unchanged.
- Checkout
- After an external payment, the customer and company from the payment response are now matched against existing data for anonymous baskets as well. An existing company is found on organization number even when the company name differs, so no duplicate company is created. Baskets that already had a customer and company connected keep their connection.
- Performance
- Faster checkout, since customer and company lookups now happen in parallel.
- Faster product listings, since price and stock information are fetched at the same time.
- Basket handling, caching, and several backend processes were made more efficient, giving smoother performance under load.
- Added detailed logging to help Norce diagnose promotion and discount issues faster.
- Company organization numbers are now kept correctly through checkout. Fixed checkout returning the customer's SSN as the company OrgNo on Payer/Buyer for baskets created with a customer and company. The company's registered OrgNo is now kept.
- Fixed a stale-caching issue that could hide recent orders in order lists.
- Fixed a race condition where payment validation could overwrite the saved order request after the PSP callback, resulting in orders created without payment information (seen with Klarna Checkout v3).
- Fixed an issue where reused pricing calculations could, in rare cases, report discounts from the wrong order.
- Internal improvements to gift card, payment cancel, checkout validation, and product lookups for better performance and stability.
Commerce Query
- Orders
OrderInfoTypecan now be expanded with$expandon Orders.- Expanded collections are now fetched by order key, which removes the repeated base query per expand and reduces response times on
$expand-heavy order requests.
- Products
GET /Products/ProductSkusrequests that use$expandon collection properties are now significantly faster and use less memory, especially for large$skip/$toppages. There are no changes to the API contract or response format.
- Improved handling of long-running and cancelled requests in Commerce Query. Slow queries now return a clear error sooner. Refine or paginate large queries if you receive this error.
Commerce Connect
- Price import history is more complete. Prices deactivated by an import now record when and by whom they were changed.
Norce Checkout
- Walley adapter
- Added a configuration to exclude zero-price shipping.
- A Walley checkout session that no longer exists at Walley (404, the session was purged after a long time) is now reported as an expired session (
walley-order-expired, logged as a warning) instead of a misleading configuration error (configuration-not-found, logged as an error). - Changing shipping option in the Walley-hosted Ingrid delivery module after cancelling a started purchase now works. The order is moved back to Checkout (only while the Walley purchase is not yet committed) before the new shipping and payment amount are written, and a failed update is no longer silently reported as success.
- Checkout Admin
- Removed payments are now shown in the order details title bar.
- Saving configurations no longer returns a 400 error because of required properties.
- Norce adapter
- Fixed an issue where rapid consecutive cart updates could log
ObjectDisposedExceptionerrors. Superseded cart requests are now cancelled cleanly. - Fixed free-freight discounts not being synced to the shipping line, which caused
validation-error-price-is-differenton state change. - Company identity is now preserved in customer-changed update payloads.
- Fixed an issue where rapid consecutive cart updates could log
- Ingrid adapter
- Ingrid pickup locations of type
AGE_VERIFICATION(for example, age-verified DHL pickup points) can now be selected without breaking checkout. Unknown pickup location types returned by Ingrid no longer fail the checkout session; unknown types fall back to unknown and are logged.
- Ingrid pickup locations of type
- Qliro adapter
- Qliro upsell orders can now be completed while upsell transactions are still pending.
- Fixed the Qliro Success push being rejected for card upsells (Created vs ActionRequired), and items being removed at upsell completion.
Legacy Storm API and payment adapters
- Storm API
- Customer and address details from the payment provider response are now saved on the order even when the payment provider only supplies them on the shipping address. Shipping details are also stored when no billing or payer information can be resolved.
- Fixed
GetCheckout2returning the customer's SSN as the company OrgNo on Payer/Buyer for baskets created with a customer and company. The company's registered OrgNo is now kept. - Currency settings are now managed per client. There is no change to how currency conversion works.
- Payment adapters
- Fixed receiver line billing name mapping when using Nets.
- Updated to the latest Walley URLs.
