# Sales areas

A sales area in Norce is a region with a specific set of VAT rates to choose from. Each product will have a VAT rate for each sales area in every situation. Either from business rules, or from specific rates set up on the product.

Here, you set up the choices of VAT rates and their codes for each sales area, as well as the sales areas allowed for the application.

> Note that the Sales area setup is shared within the client, so your changes for a sales area in one application, will be shown on other applications using the same one.
