# Variant types

Variant Type are the parameters that define the different variations of the product, for example color and/or size, and it is typically connected to a parametric.

1. Go to **Products > Settings > Variant Types** and click on **Tools > New**.
2. Fill out the *Name*, *Description* and *Code* of the Variant Type.
3. Press **Add Parametric** and select the parameters that should define the variant's parameters. Norce supports up to three defined parameters per variant.
4. Press Save.
