# Product relation types

You can create relationship types to establish various types of connections between products. For example, you may want to create a general accessory relationship between different products, or relate products made of a certain material to a specific type of cleaning product. Once the relationship types are created, they can be displayed across various channels.

To create a Relationship Type go to **Product > Settings > Relations Types**.

| Field | Description |
|  --- | --- |
| *Name* | The name of the relationship. |
| *Code* | A unique code for the relationship. |
| *Description* | A short description of the relationship. |
| *Bidirectional* | If checked, the relationship is created both ways, so that Product A is related to Product B and Product B also is related to Product A. If unchecked, the relationship only goes one way. |
