# Setup: Configure promotions This guide explains what to think about when setting up promotions in Norce Commerce. ## Required steps - Set up applications and product model and settings. ## Preparations Before setting up promotions, ensure you have: 1. Configure column preferences 3. Create and save custom reports 4. Add reports to favorites or access via All Reports 5. Create reports on the dashboard ### Monitor promotion status - Track usage statistics: - "Used" count (total usage) - "Count" (usage restrictions per customer) - Monitor promotion status: - Draft: Not yet active - Active: Currently running - Ended: Past end date - Coming: Future start date ### Further configuration - Application settings - [Discount rounding](/user-portal/settings/application#products), enable cent rounding per row if needed. ## Important considerations - Promotions automatically change status based on dates (coming, ended) - Draft status allows you to build business rules before publishing - Usage tracking helps monitor promotion effectiveness ## Where to go from here -
