# Setup: Create Product Creation Automation

This guide explains how to set up automatic product creation rules for suppliers in Norce Commerce. This functionality is particularly useful for retailers with reliable suppliers who have fully integrated their product data and want to automate the creation of extended assortment products.

## Required Steps

Before setting up product creation automation, ensure:

- Suppliers are fully configured in the system
- Supplier base models are defined
- Supplier business logic is in place
- Product catalog, specifically the product classification structure is complete (like types and category tree)


## Preparations

Consider these aspects before creating automation rules:

- Which supplier segments should be automated?
- What types of products are suitable for automation? (e.g., spare parts, accessories)
- Which products should go directly to active status?
- What pricing rules should be applied?


## How-to

1. Navigate to the Product module in the admin interface
2. Click on "Automations"
3. Select the "Create Product" tab
4. Click the "New" button
5. Configure the following settings:
  - Select the supplier and their price list
  - Choose a client price list (typically marketing or standard price list)
  - Set the product type (usually "extended" for automated creation)
  - Select the product status (active or coming)
  - Choose product segments (specific categories or manufacturers)
