# Setup: Configure the customer model This articles explains how to design your own customer model in Norce, with organizations, people (contacts and customers) and their relation between themselves. ## Required Steps - [Set up applications](/setup/createapplication) first. ## Preparations - Decide how you want to represent your customer model, including the roles and permissions for different users. - Determine who should have access to various components of the customer model. ## How-to 1. Navigate to **Settings -> Client -> Components**. 2. Decide which customer fields should be visible in the admin panel. 3. Go to **Customer -> Settings** to configure the customer model. 4. Define roles for different users. 5. Set up information types for customers. 6. Set up information types for companies. 7. Navigate to **Customer -> Flags**. 8. Add flags to meet your needs, such as customer classifications and business rules. ### Further Configuration There are some client settings that sets up the behaviour of customer and company model: - Configure settings such as anonymizing customer data and - "Customers by application". This setting lets you have the same people or organisations on different applications.
